"When I was twenty, I and my friend were offered to go to Kathmandu to join the security forces of the then King. We were to go to Kathmandu and walk around the royal family. Sometimes as guards in ceremonies, and sometimes as gatekeepers. My son was born at that time, so I could not leave. But my friend did. He returned to the village only once to settle things. I hear he is a very rich man today. I hear he owns several houses and cars. If I had gone, maybe things might have been different for me too."

5 best Android apps for power users
System Monitor
This app has live graphs of CPU activity, storage, network activity, and battery usage. It even has floating monitors and widgets to keep an eye on things. There's a free trial and a full version that $3.99.
Tasker
This app has a steep learning curve, but you can automate actions like placing calls, changing system settings, modifying files, and more than 200 more. These can be triggered based on time, location, charge state, and dozens of other things. The learning curve is steep, but Tasker is incredibly powerful. It'll cost you $2.99.
Trial: http://tasker.dinglisch.net/dl
Unclouded
There are numerous cloud storage providers, and you may very well have files in more than one.
Unclouded offers a way to easily manage all of them in a single app. It supports Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, BOX, and MEGA. Just log into your accounts and all your files are accessible. It's free to try and costs $3.29 to unlock permanently.
Root Explorer
Tinkering with Android means you'll need a good file explorer, and there isn't a more powerful one than Root Explorer. As the name implies, it has specific features for rooted users, but you can use it as a regular user-space file explorer if you're not running a rooted device. It costs $3.99, but it's a worthwhile investment.
Nova Launcher
The stock home screen on your Android device is probably fine, but it's guaranteed to be lacking in features. The most powerful home screen replacement for Android is Nova Launcher. It has gestures, custom icons, better control over the grid layout, and much more. You can test it for free, but all the features require a $4.99 upgrade.
Wi-Fi authentication problem
How to fix the issue
I have two solutions to fix this issue. Either of these fixes will work in most situations but not always.Solution 1
- Navigate to the Settings app on your phone then seek out Wi-Fi under Network connections.
- Under Wi-Fi Networks, find the network that you want to connect to and long press on its name or SSID. You’ll get a pop-up menu with two options: forget network and modify network config.
- Select the forget network option.
- Put some distance in between yourself and the Wi-Fi router until you are only getting one signal bar. Try to reconnect the same network and re-enter the password. If everything goes as it should be, you will be able to authenticate and connect to your network. If not, move on to Solution 2 below.
In case the above solution didn’t work and your device still isn’t able to connect, try the following.
- Navigate to the Settings app and choose Wi-Fi as above.
- Long press or hold the network that you want to access and then choose the modify network config in the pop-up menu that appears. In some devices, this option will be named as modify network connection.
- Check the box next to show advanced options and then seek out IP settings. Change from DHCP to Static. An IP Address field will appear below.
- Note down the information included in the static IP address field then delete it, re-enter it again, and save.

Valentines Day
“We do not have the technology to grow roses in winter, so we need to depend on India,” explains Kumar Kasaju of FAN. Kasaju may not like us saying so, but you lovebirds out there may want to rethink V-Day roses since they don’t last long, are wrapped in plastic and widen our trade deficit with India. Consider the carbon footprint of blossoms that have journeyed from so far away, and we are not even going to remind you of the agrochemicals used for floriculture.
And we haven’t even told you about the Methyl Bromide used in ornamental flower cultivation, which destroys the protective ozone layer in the stratosphere that blocks harmful solar UV radiation.
Next Tuesday, instead of splurging on a cliché show your loved one they’re special with these alternatives:
- Donate to a charity helping Earthquake survivors
- Invest in a child’s future and support youth earning their education
- Give to those who cannot ask, care for local dogs
- Send a handmade card made from locally-sourced Lokta paper
- Gift your sweetheart an industrial-strength anti-pollution mask

How to improve laptop battery life
Many modern laptops have enough battery power to last all day, but if you're reading this, clearly your laptop doesn't last long enough for you. And plenty of laptops don’t even have removable batteries, so swapping the empty one out for a fully charged spare isn’t an option.
1. Dim the screen
Dimming the screen brightness can add 30 minutes or more to your battery life. . Typically, you’ll hold the Fn key and press one of the function keys like F1, F2 ,F3 ....., in the top row, or one of the cursor keys labelled with a sun symbol.
If not, hold the Windows key and press X. This will open up the Mobility Center where you can change the brightness, and this works in all versions of Windows.
2. Change the power settings
By default, your laptop might be set to Windows’ ‘Balanced’ setting rather than Power Saver. In the Control Panel search for Power Options and check which Power Plan is selected. Don't forget that Windows uses different power and performance settings depending on whether it is running on mains or battery power. You should find a battery saver option, and it's simply a case of selecting it and closing the window. If not, click on 'Show additional plans'. If there's still nothing, you can customize a power plan by clicking Change plan settings next to a profile.
You should set the screen to turn off after little minutes, and set the laptop to sleep if nothing appears to be happening after five or 10 minutes.
If you delve into the advanced power settings, you can tweak things to your liking, setting when the system hibernates and which components should use their maximum power saving profiles (including, on some laptops, the graphics card and Wi-Fi adapter).

Chepangs facing food crisis
Black market of Venezuela and Life behind bolivar's blight
I also get to know 22 times Venezuela won international beauty pageant Seven — Miss Universe crowns (1979 • 1981 • 1986 • 1996 • 2008 • 2009 • 2013) Six — Miss World crowns (1955 • 1981 • 1984 • 1991 • 1995 • 2011) Seven — Miss International crowns (1985 • 1997 • 2000 • 2003 • 2006 • 2010 • 2015) Two — Miss Earth crowns (2005 • 2013) , but what happening at this time in Venezuela ? This question is the very serious for there, at this time there having a black market exchange of US dollar which is creating very serious problem of there's economy.there government fixed the under of 10 bolivar for one dollar but one dollar fetched 1,567 bolivars on November 1. On November 28, a dollar was worth 3,480 bolivars on the widely-used unofficial exchange rate.
disappeared from circulation.
Bolivar's blight behind sky high food prices and political and humanitarian crisis this fall as the government stopped enforcing some price controls following a food scarcity. Many vendors had stopped selling food because the price controls was forcing them to sell at a loss. Now, with the price controls gone, there's food available on supermarket shelves, but at such exorbitant prices that few Venezuelans can afford.
Finally, the government cut the cash requirements at banks in Venezuela, which also helped juice the number of bolivars in circulation.

The rainy season
The Rainy Season When ever i see clouds especially the white Nimbus, and the invisibility of the sky,i know the depressing season is here. The messengers come to announce the end of the harsh season and the arrival of the depressing season dat all of us well dread to see. Along the rainy season comes the unhealthy and unpleasant cold that many people scorn. The mud-baked Earth lies a victim to the vehicles that lay it waste to the rainwater that splashes off to soack you and me. The rainy season is an alien, man's friend an an enemy to fire cuz it brings from abroad floads that murder and render humans homeless. The rainy season commands thunder that roars like a lion that devours flesh of humans. The rainy season is rude to natuqe. Now muddy stands the earth by the depressing season stripped. But the harsh season will return to cloth it all with a beautiful brown coat.
We continue living
"All my sons died. All four of them. I remember them all the time. This woman finds a corner and spends her day crying, cursing her fate. They said sacrifice chickens, they said do not sacrifice chickens, leave them in the jungle. They said bring the shamans and offer money. We did, after all they were the people who knew these things. And we listened to them, we had hope for our sons. We wanted them to live. And then the fourth one died. He was 13. But we continue living. Strange thing, this life. We continue living."
Story of Nepal
“I was married when I was 11 years old. I do not remember a thing. What would I remember? After a few years of living with my husband, I slowly came to understand that my husband was not right. The people who had arranged the marriage had tricked my parents. He could not speak and was like a little child. I was not happy. I always knew something was wrong with him. I wanted to run away but I worried about hurting the pride of my parents. So, I just stayed. I saw the husbands of my friends go to work and do nice things for their wives but my story was different. When I turned 15, I was able to think more, about what was good for me and what was bad for me. So I decided that I wanted to get a divorce. Being a woman in the society is already hard enough and now I was a divorcee. People would talk about how I had abandoned my ‘poor’ husband. But no one came to ask me how I felt. I did not want to be married at 11. Who asked me? I did not even know what marriage was. Slowly I started to participate in training camps that would teach women about equal rights and freedom. So the more I started getting involved in these events and interacting with more men and more women, I started to find my true self. I could finally talk. Tell people, both men and women, about how I felt. I also realised that people will always talk behind your back. Even today, when I visit households to spread awareness about different social ills, I hear people say, “Look, the all-knowing woman is here to preach. Do not listen to her.” But I do not care. I have power over such things now. I walk with my head held high.” (Parbati Kumari Joshi, Girichauga 6, Doti)

Opening and Closing Software and Applications
Software might also be called an application. To open an application on your computer first click on the start menu (found in the lower left-hand corner of the illustration to the right). In the left hand column you will see your most recently used applications. The list at right shows applications from four of the largest vendors, Microsoft, Macromedida, Adobe and AOL, as well as one from a small independent company (CaptureEze Pro). Windows provides this list so that you can easily access your favorite software. Each user's list is unique, and reflects the software installed on that particular computer. If the application you currently want is on that list, then double-click to open that particular piece of software. Many times, however, you will find that the desired application is not in the favorites group. When that happens you have to navigate to your desired piece of software. |
Say, for example, that you want to open Excel the very popular business program for creating electronic spreadsheets. but you notice it is not currently in the favorites group. You would then click on "All Programs". |
This brings up a list of program categories, such as the one to the right. As you study this list, you note that Excel is still not available to you. The reason for this is that the system software categorizes programs automatically. In this way it is able to keep the overall list to a manageable size. Now, study this list again. Since you know that Excel is one of the programs that is included in Microsoft Office application suite, you conclude that you will find Excel in that group. |
You access that particular group by clicking on the solid black arrow to the right of the words "Microsoft Office". Whenever you see one of the little arrows, it tells you that there is an additional menu of choices available. Next, move your mouse over the arrow. Don't click! Just move your mouse. A new menu appears, giving you a list of all available Microsoft Office programs. |
Next, move your mouse over "Microsoft Office Excel 2003" (you might not have the same software version on your computer, but move the mouse over whatever name contains "Excel"). When the application name turns blue, it is available to be opened. Now click on the name. The Excel application will open onscreen. |
After you have completed work in the open application, there are two tasks to complete the first is to save your work. Go to File > Save and single click. |
When you have finished the task at hand and saved your file, first do a File > Close to close the particular file you are working on. Note that this action closes the file, but keeps the application itself open (in case you want to open another file). |
You have closed the file, but the application is still running. Sometimes you want to keep the application open because you are planning to open another file that requires that software. When you do want to close the application, simply go to File > Exit. |

Travel Nepal
On 19 December 2016, a police station in Rupandehi district was torched in response to the killing of a member of Youth Association Nepal and on 20 December 2016 a general strike for an indefinite period started in the Lumbini zone, including the Bhairahawa-Sunauli border crossing point with India. Further acts of violence are possible. Monitor local media and plan your travel accordingly.
British government officials in Nepal may sometimes defer travel on official business, depending on the security situation at the time. Transport and public services may be disrupted at short notice.
Protests can occur at short notice and turn violent. Clashes between protesters and police may occur anywhere. Stay away from protest areas.
If you’re involved in any political activities in Nepal you may be liable to penalties including deportation and/or a fine.
On 20 September 2016, a number of improvised explosive devices (IED) and suspect packages were found at several schools in Kathmandu and Lalitpur. Local security forces have responded to the incidents and no casualties have been reported.
In June 2016, a series of violent incidents took place targeting the property of some international NGOs and private companies in Sindhupalchowk, Gorkha and Nuwakot.
Major earthquakes on 25 April 2015 (epicentre Gorkha district) and 12 May 2015 (epicentre Sindhupalchok district) caused extensive damage to buildings and infrastructure particularly in northern parts of Gorkha, Rasuwa, Sindhupalchok and Dolakha districts. These include the Manaslu and Langtang national parks. Some trails and trekking infrastructure were damaged by the earthquakes; some of these have been rebuilt. Check with your tour company before trekking in these areas. Aftershocks, landslides and avalanches remain a risk, particularly in these areas. Main roads across Nepal are open, but road conditions are poor. See Natural disasters.
Nepal is in a major earthquake zone and remains at risk from further earthquakes, aftershocks, landslides and flooding across the country. You should familiarise yourself with safety procedures in the event of an earthquake.
The monsoon season normally runs from June to September. Flooding and landslides often occur during this time. Road travel anywhere can be hazardous, particularly in rural areas. On 22 September 2016 a landslide was reported in Gorkha district killing 4 people. No British nationals were involved. See Natural disasters.
Seek local advice from your tour operator, the tourist police or the Nepal Tourism Board on whether it’s safe to travel, particularly on remote trekking routes away from the main roads. Make sure any vehicle you travel in is equipped to deal with the risk of landslides (eg winches, ropes).
Never trek alone. Use a reputable agency, remain on established routes and walk with at least one other person. Take note of weather conditions and forecasts, and come prepared. Altitude sickness is a risk in all trekking regions. See Trekking in Nepal.
All air carriers from Nepal have been refused permission to operate air services to the EU due to safety concerns. See Safety and security
There is a general threat from terrorism. See Terrorism
Around 40,000 British nationals visited Nepal in 2013. Most visits are trouble-free.
The Overseas Business Risk service offers information and advice for British companies operating overseas on how to manage political, economic, and business security-related risks.
Take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance before you travel. If you are intending to travel at altitude, check that your insurance policy provides cover.

Semiconductor
• Materials that permit flow of electrons are called conductors (e.g., gold, silver, copper, etc.).
• Materials that block flow of electrons are called insulators (e.g., rubber, glass, Teflon, mica, etc.).
• Materials whose conductivity falls between those of conductors and insulators are called semiconductors.
• Semiconductors are “part-time” conductors whose conductivity can be controlled.

The HTML element begins with a start tag: <b> The content of the HTML element is: This text is bold The HTML element ends with an end tag: </b>
The purpose of the <b> tag is to define an HTML element that should be displayed as bold.
This is also an HTML element:
HTML Tags
What are HTML tags? HTML tags are used to mark-up HTML elements HTML tags are surrounded by the two characters < and > The surrounding characters are called angle brackets HTML tags normally come in pairs like <b> and </b> The first tag in a pair is the start tag, the second tag is the end tag The text between the start and end tags is the element content HTML tags are not case sensitive, <b> means the same as <B>
Logical vs. Physical Tags In HTML there are both logical tags and physical tags. Logical tags are designed to describe (to the browser) the enclosed text's meaning. An example of a logical tag is the <strong> </strong> tag. By placing text in between these tags you are telling the browser that the text has some greater importance. By default all browsers make the text appear bold when in between the <strong> and </strong> tags.
